About The Author
Pete Cook has played saxophone professionally for 20 years. He is active on both the Jazz and the retro Rhythm and Blues scenes. He has, over the years, accompanied many visiting US Rhythm and Blues artistes, including Lloyd Price, Clarence ‘Frogman’ Henry, Little Willie Littlefield, The Five Keys, Big Jay McNeeley, Hal Singer, and many more. He has also played support to Elton John, Shirley Bassey, The Supremes, Duran Duran, Alison Moyet, Scissor Sisters, Anastasia, even Joan Rivers…
Pete is currently Head of Jazz at London College of Music. Before taking up this post in 2003, he lectured in music at Brunel University for eight years. Many of his former students have gone on to become ‘name’ professionals and some have become award-winning soloists.
